    Project Name: Bobcat Bluff Repower Wind Project

    Project Location: 6969 FM 2581, Windthorst, TX 76389

     

    PRIMARY OBJECTIVE(S) OF POSITION
    Operates heavy equipment as directed and specified while adhering to all rules and regulations as mandated by Mortenson safety policies and procedures. Plans, organizes, and directs operators based on the project and state and federal requirements.

    Responsibilities

    KEY RESULT AREAS (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS)
    A. Operates the following equipment based on the requirements of the project:
         1. Blade
         2. Dozer
         3. Loader
         4. Scraper
         5. Forklift/Telehandler
         6. Crane
         7. Bobcat/Skid-steer
         8. Boom Lifts/Aerial Lifts
         9. Roller
    B. Follows prescribed safety regulations
    C. Ensure that all housekeeping is maintained in a clear and orderly fashion in assigned area
    D. Performs routine maintenance to include lubricating, fueling and cleaning
    E. Observes equipment operation to detect machine malfunction
    F. Follows work plans and pre-task cards
    G. Establish and adjust work sequences to meet schedule, using knowledge of capacities of equipment and assigned personnel
    H. Involved in schedules and estimate worker-hour requirements for completion of job
    I. Analyze and resolve work problems
    J. Ensure crew timecards are filled out and turned in
    K. Other duties and responsibilities related to the nature of the job may be assigned on a temporary or permanent basis as needed
    L. Supervision, coordination or work direction of Operators

    A. Lead team members by example in
         1. Resourcefulness

         3. Problem solving based on information and sound judgment
    B. Provide leadership to other team members and apprentices by displaying resourcefulness, starting work habits, and creativity in problem solving based on information and judgment
    C. Ability to work with minimum assistance and supervision is required

    Qualifications

    A. Able to adapt communication style to the speaker and posses a high degree of active listening skills

    B. Strong teamwork orientation

    E. Ability to move levers, shift gears, depress pedals and maneuver steering wheel to operator equipment

    F. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instruction, and procedure manuals

    G. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

    H. Knowledge of equipment and their uses I. Understand and apply basic mathematical skills (adding, subtracting, division, & multiplication)

    J. Positive attitude and professional customer service skills

    K. Ability to work independently
