    Project Name: Heartland Divide Wind Farm Project

    Project Location: 2292 Pheasant Ave, Hamlin, IA 50117

     

    PRIMARY OBJECTIVE(S) OF POSITION
    Provide oversight to project millwright crews. Coordinate, implement and supervise all self-performed work.
    Responsible for dismantling, erecting, assembling, aligning, adjusting, and/or maintaining machinery and equipment according to installation manuals, work instructions, layout plans, blueprints, and other drawings.

    Responsibilities

    KEY RESULT AREAS (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS)
    A. Accountabilities
         1. Read blueprints and schematic drawings to determine work procedures
         2. Establish and adjust work sequences to meet schedule, using knowledge of capacities of equipment and assigned personnel
         3. Involved in schedules and estimate worker-hour requirements for completion of job
         4. Analyze and resolve work problems
         5. Ensure crew timecards are filled out and turned in
         6. May make cost estimates for contracts
         7. May operate machinery
         8. All other duties as assigned
    B. Renewable Energy Group: Manage crew while receiving and offloading all major components and erecting them

     

    SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY
    A. Lead team members by example in
         1. Resourcefulness
         2. Self-starting work habits
         3. Problem solving based on information and sound judgment

    B. Provide work direction and oversight to Millwright Apprentice, Journeymen, Millwright I, and Helpers

    Qualifications

    A. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety regulations, assembly/disassembly, operation and maintenance instructions, blueprints and schematic drawings, and procedure manuals
    B. Strong teamwork orientation

    D. Detail orientation
