    As a Laborer Foreman, your primary duties include oversight and coordinating crews that prepare, handle, and supply materials to be used by other crafts.

    Responsibilities

    • Read blueprints and schematic drawings to determine work procedures
    • Supervise and coordinate activities of laborers and their assigned roles
    • Interpret specifications, blueprints and job orders
    • Interpret company policies to workers and enforce safety regulations
    • Establish and adjust work sequences to meet construction schedule, using knowledge capacities of equipment and assigned personnel
    • Study/analyze in schedules and estimate worker-hour requirements for completion of job
    • Analyze and resolve work problems
    • Maintain time records
    • May make cost estimate for contracts
      • Use logical step-by-step procedures in work
      • Plan work and solve problems
      • Make decisions based on measurable information
      • May operate machinery
    • Provides work direction to laborer I, II, Journeyman, Apprentice, and Helpers
    • Works according to standard, detailed instructions and established, well-defined procedures
    • Determines work method from alternative
    • Works under broad assignment
    • All other duties as assigned
    • All team members are expected to demonstrate the following characteristics:

        • Follow work rules and procedures
        • Punctual and consistent attendance
        • Accept constructive feedback

    Qualifications

    • Ability to work with tools and equipment such as, power and non-powered hand tools, vibrators, pumps, drills and jackhammers
    • Ability to work effectively with a variety of international and external constituencies from varied and diverse backgrounds, including line and execution staff, person representing industry, corporate, government, and community based organizations
    • Ability to frequently sit, stand, walk crouch, kneel, climb and periodically lift up to 50 lbs
    • Ability to work with machinery, such as, forklifts, skid loaders and power buggy’s
    • Able to adapt communication style to the speaker and possess a high degree of active listening skills
    • Strong teamwork orientation
    • Positive attitude and professional customer service skills
    • Detail orientation

     

     

    Education and Experience Requirements

     

    • High school education or GED is preferred but not required
    • Minimum of three years related experience is preferred
    • A valid driver’s license is required
