    As a Carpenter Apprentice III, you will assist journeyman and foreman carpenters in the completion of their tasks while learning the trade.

    Responsibilities

    • Set up trailers
    • Build decks, stairs, roofs and other temporary structures between office units, plan tables, install shelves, setup tool trailers and/or conex’s, per plan
    • Hand-set forms and/or assemble the gang forms
    • Assist journeyman and foreman with the shooting of grades and elevations
    • The unloading, handling, stockpiling, and erecting of all pre-fabricated materials
    • Concrete and rough carpentry
          • Hand set Walls
          • Footings
          • Gang Wall Forms
          • Structural Concrete Decks
          • In wall and roof blocking
          • Finish Carpentry, including doors, frames, and hardware
    • All other duties as assigned
    • All team members are expected to demonstrate the following characteristics:

          • Follow work rules and procedures
          • Punctual and consistent attendance
          • Accept constructive feedback

    Qualifications

    • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety regulations, operation and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
    • Ability to work under broad assignment with established procedures
    • Ability to work according to standard instructions
    • Ability to frequently sit, stand, walk, crouch, kneel, climb and periodically lift up to 50 lbs
    • Must know how to use a fax and copy machine

     

    Education and Experience Requirements

     

    • A high school diploma or GED is preferred
    • Enrolled in apprenticeship program
    • 2 years of previous experience preferred
