    Rattlesnake Wind Farm Project

    Location: 58583 866 RD Allen, NE 68710

     

    PRIMARY OBJECTIVE(S) OF POSITION
    Responsible for dismantling, erecting, assembling, aligning, adjusting, and/or maintaining machinery and equipment according to installation manuals, work instructions, layout plans, blueprints, and other drawings.

    Responsibilities

    KEY RESULT AREAS (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS)
    A. Accountabilities
         1. Reading blueprints and schematic drawings to determine work procedures
         2. Dismantling machines using hand tools
         3. Moving machinery and equipment using hoists, dollies, rollers, and trucks
         4. Assembling and installing equipment (such as shafting, conveyors, and tram rails) using hand and power tools
         5. Aligning machines and equipment using hoists, jacks, hand tools, squares, rulers, lasers, micrometers, and plumb bobs
         6. Assembling machines with bolts, welds, and rivets, and fasten them to foundation using hand tools and power tools
         7. May operate engine lathe to grind, file, and turn machine parts to dimensional specifications
         8. Setting, leveling, and aligning all classes and types of engines, motors, dynamos, generators, conveyors, elevators, monorails, train rails, and/or trolley beams or rails
         9. Installing all lubrication systems on all machines
         10. Cleaning, repairing, and adjusting all classes and types of jacks, chainfalls, pull-lift, block and tackles, impact wrenches, chipping hammers, rivet guns, and air drills
         11. Operate cranes, forklifts, hoists, lift trucks, hand tools, power tools, and other materials
         12. All other duties as assigned
    B. Renewable Energy Group Accountabilities
         1. Receiving and offloading all major components
         2. Installing loose components for Nacelle, hub, and tower preparation
         3. Connecting blades to hub
         4. Setting base and tower sections
         5. Managing taglines
         6. Involved with main erection crane assembly and teardown
         7. Climbing ladders – average 80m
         8. Drilling and/or tapping of all holes on turbines

         9. Torqueing/tensioning any bolted connection

    A. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety regulations, assembly/disassembly, operation and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals

    EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
    A. High school diploma or GED
    B. A minimum of three years of related experience
    C. Valid driver’s License is required
